We are just starting to fill out this page with Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), so this will be filled over the next several weeks to several months. If you'd like to see a question answered here, please e-mail us your question and we'll answer it for you and post it here.

1.  Who are you?
We are two families working together; Glenn and Kathy Crowther and children, and Doug and Amy Middleton and children.

2. What are you doing?
We are working together to provide healthy bread and baked goods to people, support our families, and work to build the kingdom of God on the earth.

3. Why are we doing this?
We believe that we are called to have the bakery. See the testimony on the "About Us" page for additional information.

4. Why use local wheat?
We are acquainted with Jack G. who has grown the organic wheat we have used for the last three years. He has actually grown organic wheat for over 12 years and does a good job at it. We buy it directly from him and store the wheat in the basement of our bakery. By buying local wheat we know who we are buying from and what we are buying.

5. When do we bake?
We currently bake on Monday, Thursday and Fridays (Fridays only during market season). Shipping goes out on Monday only, so you must have your order in by Sunday afternoon

6. What is the shelf life of the bread?
The shelf life varies depending on the item, outside air temperature, travel time to you, and the time of the year. We DO NOT use any type of mold inhibitors, dough conditioners, or artificial chemicals to lengthen the shelf life. Bread usually lasts 7 to 10 days on the counter. Freeze our bread for up to two (2) months. Freezing is actually better than putting it in the refrigerator.

7. Where are you located?
Our bakery is located in a small town in Northwest Missouri, approximately 60 miles from Kansas City International (KCI) airport.

8. Do you use white sugar?
No, we use honey and evaporated cane juice for sweeteners.

9. Do you use hydrogenated vegetable oils?
No, we use olive oil and butter.  We are looking at the possibility of using coconut oil. It seems to have some very good health properties. We will do further test bakes and further evaluation.

10. Why do you use organic wheat?
It tastes better, it's better for you, and better for the land too. More information coming soon on our links page too.
